The popular payment service Google Pay received an update that will add the long-awaited feature. It is about confirming a money transfer using biometric authentication, that is, using a fingerprint scanner or a face recognition system. Earlier, the transfer could only be confirmed by entering the PIN code.

At the moment, a new feature is available in Google Pay version 2.100 on devices running the Android 10 operating system. You need to activate the biometric confirmation of the transfer directly in the application by going to the transfer funds section.

The developers note that the innovation is not yet available for Android 9 and earlier versions of the OS, since in this case the new API is used, which appeared in Android 10. However. in the future, support for the function may be added for devices with Android 9.
