Xiaomi Mi Watch will receive a special application store
Earlier on the network, there was talk that the Xiaomi Mi Watch smartwatch will run WearOS, but in the end, it turned out that these expectations were not destined to come true.
Today, the company itself made a statement that the wearable gadget will work on the MIUI for Watch branded shell, specially adapted to work on smart watches and, most likely, it is based on the Android operating system.
This will be open firmware and you can expect the emergence of future custom watches for smart watches. Also, it became known that the shell will receive a special application store, which will include the most popular utilities, including cards, AliPay, QQ, and TikTok. They also promise music streaming applications and a set of special dials for smart watches.
Recall that the premiere of the Xiaomi Mi Watch will be held on November 5. The smartwatch should offer a square-shaped OLED display with Always on Display, a capacious battery, an NFC module for contactless payments, a GPS successor, a Bluetooth chip and a Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor. It will be equipped with a gadget microphone, 1 GB of RAM, a flash drive with a capacity of 8 GB, an independent linear engine and an integrated eSIM card.
