How To Fix The Server Error in the Google Play Store

  4. Touch Clear Data, followed by Clear cache.
  5. Restart your device.

Force Stop Google Play Store

  1. Open Device Settings followed by the application / Application manager.
  2. Scroll down and touch “Google Play Store”.
  3. Touch the “Force Stop” button.
  4. Go back and open the Google Play Store again.

Remove your Google account from your phone

To remove the Google account from your phone and add it again, follow the steps:

  1. Go to the Settings device followed by Accounts.
  2. In accounts, select Google.
  3. Select the account name linked to the Google Play Store.
  4. On the next screen, tap the menu or three dots in the upper right corner and select “Remove account”.
  5. After removing the account, clear data and cache for the Google Play Store as mentioned above.
  6. Restart your device.
  7. Now, go to Accounts, then Google, and add your Google account back.
  8. Then, start the Google Play Store. It should open normally.

Uninstall Play Store updates

  1. Open Device Settings followed by the application / Application manager.
  2. Scroll down and touch “Google Play Store”.
  3. Touch the “Disable” button.
  4. A pop-up will ask for your confirmation, tap Disable on the pop-up.
  5. After removing all recent updates, the “Disable” button will be replaced with “Enable”, select it.
  6. Please allow time for the Google Play Store to automatically update to the latest stable version. Open Google Play Store and the “Server error” should be gone.

Change language to English (United States)

Another fix that the user can try is to change the system language to English. To do this, follow the steps:

  1. Open device Settings followed by Language and input.
  2. Language and select English (United States).
  3. Go back and open the Play Store.
