Once in Google Takeout, you must first select or deselect the data you want or don’t want to download. After performing this step, you need to click the Next button to proceed to the next download point.

Now you just have to configure the type of file you want to download the data to or the size of each file that makes up the total. You can also tell them how you’d like to receive the file, either by email or directly to your Google Drive account. Once done, click  Create files and in a few hours, Google will send them to you.

It’s time to finally get rid of that awkward email address you created ten years ago.

However, deleting your Gmail account doesn’t delete the entire Google account that the email address is associated with. You will still have access to all other Google Account services, such as Google Drive, your calendar, Google Play, and more. Gmail will ask you to provide an alternate email address to use to log into your Google account in the future.
