IPS screen and gloss finish for 5G version

The main difference of the Realme 8 5G concerning the Realme 8 comes from the hand of the screen, which now operates on a matrix with IPS technology with Full HD resolution and a peak brightness level of 600 nits. In this case, the manufacturer has chosen to increase the frequency rate and touch sampling up to 90 and 180 Hz.

Mediatek processor with 5G connectivity by flag

The reason for this model is the 5G connectivity, which in this case is borne by the processor Dimensity 700 designed by Mediatek. The model in question is accompanied by two versions of RAM and storage of 4 and 6 GB and 64 and 128 GB, both of type UFS 2.1. The good news is that it has expanded through micro SD cards of up to 1 TB.

If we focus on the connectivity section, the manufacturer does not leave anything behind, since, in addition to being compatible with 5G SA and NSA networks, it has a good string of connections: Dual-band WiFi, NFC for mobile payments, Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5 mm port for the headphones … Inside, we find a battery of no less than 5,000 mAh and a fast-charging system of 18 W.

Photographic section: a conservative bet

About the cameras section, the company has opted for a somewhat more conservative configuration than the one found in the Realme 8.

There are three cameras at the rear, with 48, 2, and 2 megapixels and macro lens together with a monochrome sensor that captures black and white images. At the front, the phone uses a single 8-megapixel sensor with face unlock functions.
