Gigabyte Aorus TRX40 Xtreme Board Will Offer Powerful 10G Power Subsystem And Ethernet

Gigabyte continues to fuel interest in its motherboards based on the new AMD TRX40 system logic, which will be presented in a few days. This time, the Taiwanese manufacturer published an image of its future flagship board Aorus TRX40 Xtreme.

In the presented image, the power subsystem of the new motherboard is clearly visible. It immediately includes 16 phases, which should provide stable power to any of the Ryzen Threadripper processors of the 3000 series, including the flagship 64-core model. The power subsystem will also include several 8-pin EPS power connectors, although they are not visible in the photo.

We also note that the processor socket on the board shown looks exactly the same as the Socket TR4 socket on the current Ryzen Threadripper boards. However, according to rumors, AMD TRX40-based motherboards will use the new Socket TR4 + connector, which will differ in the purpose of some of the contacts. But at the moment it is nothing more than rumors. Also in the published image, you can see the network port in red, which indicates its increased throughput. Most likely, in this case, a 10-gigabit network interface will be used. Note the presence of USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, also red.
