The following guide will help you find all of the reels in LIGHT: Black Cat & Amnesia Girl. Collecting all the reels in the game awards you with an achievement.
There are 16 hidden reels that you can find during your game. If you get one, though, don’t worry—you’ll be able to play the chapter again and pick up any others that escaped your notice before. I’ve also included a list of the chapters where each collectable can be found.
Reel #1
The first reel can be found in Chapter 1. Look for it while you’re evading the man who’s looking for his lost dog—it’s inside a small opening to a vent beside the door.
Reel #2
In Chapter 1, you can find Reel #2 by jumping over the bookshelves in the library. Pass through the vent and jump down from shelf to shelf until you see this reel clearly.
Reel #3
In Reel #3 of Chapter 1, you should go to the room where you need to create a sequence of crystals. A good crystal board has a separate area for the crystals. Follow this pattern: blue square, red triangle, green diamond. Press the red button to unlock the third reel.
Reel #4
After the boss fight in Chapter 1, go back into the long hallway and turn right. You’ll find Reel #4 behind a serving tray. Push the tray along to clear a path and reach the fourth reel.
Reel #5
In Chapter 2, when you encounter the wolf for the first time, look to your left after it runs away. Find Reel #5 in a cage hanging from the ceiling. Use the axe that is hanging from the mannequin to cut the rope and recover your reel.
Reel #6
After you leave the girl in Chapter 2 and jump over a river, Reel #6 will be on a podium to your left. Allow the girl to go through the gate, press down on its floor switch and then return for your sixth reel.
Reel #7
In Chapter 2, after you solve the light cube puzzle and push it down from its ledge, charge up your own light cube. Push the large cube onto the pressure plate to reveal Reel #7. If you don’t act fast enough, however, the timer will run out and you won’t have a chance to collect it.
Reel #8
Taped to the far left wall of the long room with 6 wolf statues in Chapter 2, you’ll find Reel #8.
Reel #9
After pushing the heavy sack off the scaffolding in Chapter 3, jump down and examine Reel #9 in a small cubby beneath you.
Reel #10
Go inside the room with the timer bridge puzzles, flip both orange and blue levers, then cross to get what you need. In a small broken-down wooden area, go into the doorway on your left. Then jump onto the crates and shelves inside and follow the path around until you find Reel #10.
Reel #11
In Chapter 3, when you reach a large cobweb that blocks your path and spider graffiti above it, go through the gap in the wall beneath to find Reel #11.
Reel #12
Reel #12 is located in Chapter 3 on a crate high above the room with the cart-switching mechanic. Use parkour to reach this reel.
Reel #13
Jump into the crevice beneath the floorboards after climbing up the dumbwaiter a second time in Chapter 4.
In Chapter 4, after going up the dumbwaiter for the second time, jump out and into the crevice below the floorboards.
Defeat the man on the platform above you, pull out your gun and shoot him. Make sure to keep an eye out for Reel #13 when a girl breaks through the dumbwaiter’s ceiling into it.
Reel #14
After the final fight with the wolf in Chapter 4, cross the makeshift bridge and turn right to find Reel.
Reel #15
While running from the woman in Chapter 4, slide down a slope and jump for the ledge. After passing through the door, look immediately to your right to find a cart. Jump on the cart to discover reel 15.
Reel #16
After escaping the woman in the abyss area, you’ll enter the next room and come across the final reel. Blast the woman with your light to grab Reel
