Updating to iOS 13.2 broke HomePods speakers

Apple released an update to iOS 13.2 for HomePods smart speakers, which was supposed to give devices the ability to recognize the owner’s voice, set a sleep timer, and other innovations, however, instead, the speakers went into a cyclic reboot.

After a software update is installed, a corresponding problem is reported by many users on the official Apple forum and related resources. It is noted that attempts to reset the device to factory settings, turn it off, re-establish pairing with the iPhone, remove it from HomeKit and the like do not lead to any result.

Apple’s customer support team was also unable to help solve the problem, so they suggested users bring HomePods speakers for exchange or repair.
