Enable Installation From Unknown Sources On Kodi

Since Kodi has had multiple legal issues in the past, we don’t allow people to install add-ons or use sources that they don’t know about. By default, this is turned off.

However, you can’t install them if they are not compatible with your computer. When you go to the options panel, you can choose to install add-ons from unknown sources.

Enable installation from unknown sources on Kodi

The third-party repositories have the most intriguing Kodi Add-ons. Hence, enabling installation from unknown sources is the first step in installing a third-party Addon on Kodi.

Even if the process for prior Kodi versions is very similar, we’ll demonstrate how to activate Kodi 19 Matrix because it won’t take you longer than a minute. Just carry out these actions.

Go to the home page in Kodi.

You may then access the Kodi settings from there. Click on the gear-shaped icon in the top left corner of the screen, just below the Kodi logo, to access it.

In the box on the bottom right of the screen, click System Settings. Depending on the Kodi version, this option may alternatively be referred to as a System or just simple.

• Click Add-ons in the menu on the left.
• Click on Unknown sources on the right side.
• A warning notice will appear when you select this option.
• Remain calm and accept.

You need to enable the option before you may install add-ons from sources other than the official Kodi repository. This is done for privacy and security reasons and the option is hidden by default.

When you get to this warning message, click the Yes button.

Go back into the panel and check to see if the option to allow content from unknown sources is turned on. If it isn’t, you’ll need to repeat the previous step.
