1. Restart the phone
The first solution to try is to restart the phone before switching to the others. Sometimes, a simple reboot can work wonders.
2. Check the Internet connection
Next, make sure you are connected to the Internet and that this is not the problem that does not allow you to download the app. If you are downloading apps on mobile data, check if you have enough data balance to complete the download.
3. Maintain sufficient storage space
The 971 error, for example, occurs due to the lack of sufficient memory on the phone. Make space on your Android device so try deleting one or more apps you rarely use or removing other unimportant data.
Also, check out these tips to increase the internal memory on your Android phone.
4. Check the SD card
If your phone uses the SD card, it can sometimes cause problems, remove it for a while or change the default memory on the phone. Obviously, make sure there is enough internal memory.
To do this, go to Settings> Memory. Here go up Storage settings or Default memory based on the available option and choose Internal memory.
5. Enable airplane mode
It is known that airplane mode solves problems on an Android smartphone. If enabled, it will disable all network connections on the device: Wi-Fi, mobile data, Bluetooth, etc.
To enable airplane mode, open Settings on your phone and go to Network and Internet. Activate/deactivate next to Airplane mode. Or in a much faster way, in the notification bar, you can find the toggle to activate the airplane mode.
Once enabled, wait a minute or two, then disable it. Next, download the app again.
6. Update Android Webview
To solve the problem, you need to update the pre-installed System WebView app. For this, go to Play Store and search for Android System WebView. Alternatively, open this link which will take you to the Play Store.
If an update is available, the button will be displayed Refresh. Touch it to start the installation. Once updated, restart your phone and try to download the app.
7. Clear cache and data
You can also try clearing the cache and data from the Play Store and Google Play Service. Start with clearing the cache for both, then clear the data (this will not delete any data or apps from the phone).
To do this, follow these steps:
- open Settings and go to App / Application manager.
- All apps, search for Google Play Store.
- Click on Archiving then Clear cache.
- repeat the steps for Google Play Services.
Then restart your phone and try to download the app. If the problem persists, repeat the steps and now use the Clear Data or Clear Memory button instead of Clear Cache.

It is not possible to uninstall the Play Store app from the phone. However, removing updates has proved useful for many users.
To do this, go again to the Phone Settings and then to App / Application Management. Find Google Play in All Apps.
On the Play Store screen, tap the three-point icon in the upper right corner and select Uninstall updates from the menu if you use Android stock otherwise it depends on the UI used, in many cases, you will find a special button for uninstalling updates. Once uninstalled, restart your phone and wait five minutes to update the Play Store.
9. Update Play Store and services manually
Although Android smartphones automatically update the Google Play Store and Play Services in the background, it may happen that these updates fail, leading to various problems including Play Store error code.
So you need to update them manually. For the Play Store, the quickest way is to open the app, access the settings by clicking on the hamburger menu (the three horizontal lines), and then scroll down.
