Galaxy Note 20 will come with Snapdragon 865+ SoC

Samsung may want to equip the Galaxy Note 20 series with the chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ although this has not yet been officially presented in the market. This is what was reported in a new Twitter post, despite previous reports denying this information.

A couple of months ago, the head of Meizu Technology Marketing had said that Qualcomm had no intention of introducing mass production for the Snapdragon 865+ this year.

This led us to think that Samsung’s upcoming flagships would use the Snapdragon 865 chipset already present in some markets.

At this point though, only time will tell if these will actually be Qualcomm’s production plans for the foreseeable future, but so far there hasn’t been much evidence supporting launch of the new processor by 2020.

Galaxy note- Snapdragon 865+

Will Galaxy Note 20 have the Snapdragon 865+?

Once again it is the leaker Ice Universe to reveal that the next Samsung Note will come with the Snapdragon 865+ SoC. The tweet states that the Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and the Galaxy Tab S7 pair will also have the same new processor.

The Snapdragon 865+ has recently appeared in AnTuTu signaling that the device may be ready for formalization. However, a list of benchmarks doesn’t say much about when the device will be released so a debut in 2020 could very well still be ruled out even if the SoC is being tested.

According to preliminary information, the chipset Snapdragon 865+ will be equipped with a single core of the main CPU with clock up to 3.1 GHz, three high-performance cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and four low-energy cores that operate with a frequency of up to 1.8 GHz.

In other markets where the Galaxy Note 20 range will not be powered by the 865+ processor or by other Qualcomm solutions, the series is expected to feature a chipset Exynos 992. Even the Exynos 992 processor has yet to be officially unveiled, and its specs are largely unknown.
