The Zoom is releasing the update 5.2 filled with new effects, images, and more control over cancellation options of noise to enhance your videoconferences. Just like on Instagram, Zoom filters add fun modifications to your face in augmented reality and noise cancellation options can improve your experience in noisy environments.
The filters do not yet have a catalog as broad as the options present on Instagram or Snapchat, but the options already demonstrate what the tool is capable of. So far, Zoom offers animations of pets, masks, glasses in augmented reality, and color filters, which change the tone of the entire capture.
Before, Zoom only allowed modifying your background for fun animations – ranging from fireplaces, beaches, movie theaters, windows to luxury buildings, and more. Filters complement this game, with some of them even working very well together.
The update also brings slight changes to noise cancellation. There will be four options – low, medium, high, and automatic – and you can change it at any time to suit your conditions. Be “loud” for very noisy environments and “quiet” when the noises are not so disturbing.
Also, the update introduces tools for adjusting camera images. Now, Zoom users can control adapt the brightness for low-light environments and control the app’s “beautifying effect” at any time.
Finally, the app included a set of emoji for reactions – which will be visible in the upper left corner whenever used – and Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode to keep the webcam with the slide show.
