OPPO’s sub-brand dedicated to smartphones with a great price/quality ratio, Realme, is preparing to bring to our market the smartphone to be taken into account. Indeed, the intention to market the Realme GT 5G in Europe is confirmed.
This was one of the most coveted devices in recent weeks through the channels and social networks of the Chinese company to the point that the responsible entity now certifies it in Europe. The gateway to the old continent was Holland with good news.
Realme GT 5G is the new gaming smartphone for 2021
The Realme GT 5G is probably the best cheap gaming smartphone you can buy in 2021. The device was unveiled on March 4, 2021, and has become an immediate success story in China. Now, the new gaming smartphone comes to help the brand’s efforts in our continent where, in 2020, the brand grew 183%, surpassing rivals such as Xiaomi.
At issue is the certification and approval of the smartphone with the model number RMX2202 for use in the European Union by the Telefication agency. This is the exact model that was announced about two months ago in China at a very competitive price.
The certification in question confirms previous rumors, also reported by 4gnews. So, if we already knew that such a launch in Europe was likely, the same is now officially confirmed, in the case of the same smartphone.
Realme prepares an event on June 3rd for Europe
See, above, the manufacturer’s event promotion poster for Europe. The same will take place through the company’s official channels, with live streaming on YouTube starting at 11:00 am in mainland Portugal.
There are indeed no references to the GT 5G model in the image, but the coincidence between certification in the Netherlands and the disclosure of the image will be more than circumstantial.
The smartphone equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888, 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with Full-HD+ resolution, and 120 Hz refresh rate will be entitled to a presentation event for Europe. Let’s not forget fast charging at 65W.
Realme will thus give new attention to the product when it is launched in Europe, and the revelation of new equipment cannot be ruled out. Be they earphones or simple protective covers for the GT 5G, we may have some surprises.
Incidentally, the manufacturer has done just that for key markets like India. There, in addition to discounts and special launch campaigns, the company wants to create a bond with consumers, something especially important for a new brand.

The increased attention to Europe is a clear sign of the manufacturer’s interest in our market. Here, where Xiaomi grows virtually unopposed now that Huawei has left a large open space, Realme also sees a window of opportunity.
For consumers, the launch of smartphones like the GT 5G will be a boon, being a cheap and powerful smartphone. In fact, it’s probably the lowest-priced Snapdragon 888-equipped phone.
Finally, an official launch and presence of Realme in Europe would eliminate the need to resort to dubious online stores, intermediaries, and other third parties.
