CyanogenMod CM 10.1.0 stable build is based on the AOSP Jelly Bean 4.2.2 is now available for Samsung Galaxy S I9000.   1. Download  CM-10.1.0-galaxysmtd.zip  and  Google Apps  files for Galaxy S to your computer.
  2. Connect your phone to your PC using a USB-cable.
  3. Copy the downloaded files on the SD card of your phone.  not extract any files.
  4. Unplug the USB and turn off the phone.
  5. Now load recovery (Recovery).  Turn on the phone by pressing and holding the  Volume Down button + Power + house together.
  6. Make a Nandroid backup, select  Backup and Restore >> Backup .

  10. Select  Flash ZIP from SD Card >>  Choose ZIP from sdcard >>  CM-10.1.0-galaxysmtd.zip  >> Yes.
  11. Select  Flash ZIP from SD Card >>  Choose ZIP from sdcard >>  gapps-JB-20130301-signed.zip  >> Yes.
  12. Select  Go Back >>  Reboot system now.

That’s it! Your Galaxy S is now updated to CM 10.1  stable build  Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean ROM!.  making sure you have installed this drive, check on  your phone.

Going back to the previous ROM:  to go back to the previous ROM, boot into recovery, choose  Backup and Restore  and restore your previous ROM, selecting it from the list.
