How to pair Redmi Buds 4 / Buds 4 Pro?
The method to pair your Xiaomi Redmi Buds 4 Pro headphones is very simple to do. To do so, follow all the steps below:
On Android or iOS:
Step 1: Open the charging case cover and don’t remove the earbuds inside. This will put the headphones into pairing mode.
Step 2: On your mobile phone, tap “Settings” and select “Bluetooth” (activate the feature if it is disabled).
Step 3: In the “Available Devices” section, tap on “Redmi Buds 4 Pro” or “Redmi Buds 4”. Then a pop-up will open, and click “Pair” to confirm.
Step 4: Now the headphones will be paired with your cell phone. When the process is finished, you will see a new pop-up with the battery level of the 2 earbuds and also your charging case.
Step 5: Finally, tap “Done” to complete the pairing.
On Windows:
- Make sure your computer or notebook’s Bluetooth is turned on.
- Go to settings and click “Bluetooth and other devices”.
- Click “Add Device” and then click Bluetooth.
- Open the charging case for the earbuds to be activated (without removing them from the inside).
- When the case light starts flashing, it means the earbuds are already in pairing mode.
- In the list of detected devices, click on “Redmi Buds 4”. If prompted for a password, enter “0000”.
- After that, the light on the case will remain steady and turn off, and the pairing is complete.
How to properly use Redmi Buds 4 headphones?
- Take both earbuds out of the charging case.
- Identify the left and right earphones.
- Choose the ear tip that best fits your ear.
- Insert the headphones into the inner ear canal.
- Rotate for the best possible comfort and fit, and make sure the mic is pointing toward your mouth.
How to use Redmi Buds 4 or Buds 4 Pro controllers?
Now that you’ve paired your Redmi Buds 4 with your cell phone, see below how to control its functions:
- Power on: Open the charging case lid.
- Power off: Place the earbuds inside the charging case and close the lid.
- Play/Pause: while playing a track, double-tap either earphone. Take one of the earphones out of your ear to pause the music, when you put it back in your ear, playback resumes (the “In-Ear Detection” feature must be enabled).
- Play next song: while playing a track, tap 3 times on either earbud.
- Answer call: during a phone call, double-tap either earbud.
- End or Decline a call: during a phone call, tap 3 times on either earbud.
- Toggle/Activate Noise canceling mode: press and hold one of the earbuds to switch to noise canceling mode.
Redmi Buds 4 indicator light status
- The indicator light flashes with the earbuds inside the case with the lid open: The earbuds will be ready to pair with any device.
- The indicator light stays steady and goes out: Headphones are connected.
- The indicator light is on with the earbuds inside the case with the lid closed: The earbuds are charging.
- The indicator light is off: The earbuds are fully charged.
How to reset Redmi Buds 4 or Buds 4 Pro headphones?
Are your headphones experiencing connection issues? Is the audio from one of the headphones constantly or occasionally failing? To resolve these and other issues, we suggest that you perform a factory reset on them. See which steps to follow below:
- Remove the current connection from the headphones by accessing the phone’s Bluetooth settings.
- Place the 2 earbuds inside the charging case.
- Then press and hold the button located at the bottom of the charging case for 10 seconds.
- Wait for the LED light to remain steady for 3 seconds and then slowly sting.
- After that, the headphones will already be restored to their factory settings.
After restoring the headphones to their original factory state, follow the directions above to perform a new pairing.
