Many users have voiced their concern that the MIUI gives them a bloated usage experience with tons of preinstalled apps. If you are also of the same opinion, then you now have the perfect opportunity to break free from the shackles of the stock MIUI and welcome home a clean, stock, fast, and snappy OS with tons of Pixel goodies. So on that note, let’s show you how to install this ROM onto your device.

Before proceeding with the instructions, please make sure you have a backup of your data. AMS and its members cannot be held responsible for any problems that may occur during or after performing the below steps.

Prerequisite

1: Install Android SDK

To get started, you need to install the Android SDK Platform Tools on your PC. This is a toolkit provided by Google and is officially recommended by LineageOS developers. Download it from Google’s website and extract it to any convenient location on your computer. Doing so will give you a platform-tools folder, which will be used throughout this guide to install LineageOS on Redmi Note 10 Pro/Max.

2: Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking

To continue, you’ll need to enable USB debugging and OEM unlocking on your device. The former will make your device recognizable by the PC in ADB mode so that it can be booted into fastboot mode. On the other hand, OEM unlocking is required for bootloader unlocking.

Add Account to Mi Unlock Status

Go to Settings > About Phone > Tap on Build Number 7 times > Go back to Settings > System > Advanced > Developer Options, and then enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking.

3: Unlock the Bootloader on the Redmi Note 10 Pro/Max

After that, you’ll need to unlock the bootloader. Doing so will wipe all data from your device and might void its warranty as well. If that’s OK with you, then please refer to our detailed guide on how to unlock the bootloader on any Xiaomi device.

4: Download Firmware

Next, you’ll need to download the latest firmware for your region. You can find them below:
