EMUI 10 for Huawei P20 and Pro 20 is now available!

According to the Huawei Central website, the update has already started to be implemented in several Asian regions. So it’s only a matter of days before Huawei P20s around the world start receiving the new EMUI 10.

Those who have already managed to upgrade to EMUI 10 report that the package weighs 4.71 GB. And the firmware version corresponds to EMUI 10 version 10.0.0.160. As it is not surprising we have all the news of Android 10, including the dark mode in the whole system.

If you have a Huawei P20 and want to check if you already have the update available, you need to access the device’s system settings. Then go to the “System” section. From there, you should check the “Software updates”. If available, you will have the option to download and install the new version. First, you must create a full backup if the process fails.

However, important information. If you have a Huawei P20 Lite, unfortunately, you are not entitled to this update for EMUI 10. Only P20 and P20 Pro models are included.

Now an answer to a question that we have been asked very often. If you do this update for EMUI 10 with Android 10 you will continue to have access to Google applications, including, Play Store, Maps, YouTube, among others.

The only devices from this manufacturer that do not have access are from the Huawei P40 onwards. So you can update at will.
