5 phones will get the stable Android 15 update.

Google, as the main creator of Android, usually gets new versions of the system to its Pixel phones first. But this year, that’s not the case.

The Google Pixel 9 does not come with Android 15 right away, and Samsung, which usually updates quickly, hasn’t sent Android 15 to its phones yet either. However, Vivo has updated five of its phones to Android 15 since September 30.

The first five phones to get the stable Android 15 update are all from Vivo:

  • – Vivo X100
  • – Vivo X100 Pro
  • – Vivo X100 Ultra
  • – Vivo X Fold 3 Pro
  • – iQOO 12

People who own these phones are already getting notifications to update to Android 15. This is the first time an Android update has reached other brands before Google’s own phones, which could change the market.

This update is part of Funtouch OS 15, Vivo’s version of Android 15, and it includes new features like an AI Eraser in the Gallery, a shadow removal tool, and a real-time transcription tool.

Google is expected to start updating the Pixel 9 series with Android 15 in mid-October. Samsung hasn’t said when it will start its updates, but it is expected to be in the last part of the year.
