HarmonyOS Next – Quick Overview
HarmonyOS Next is the newest operating system from the company, based on the OpenHarmony framework. Unlike previous versions, this OS is not based on Android or Linux, so it does not support Android APKs. Instead, it allows the use of applications in APP format through the Ark compiler.
The user interface of HarmonyOS Next is similar to that of HarmonyOS 4.0 and earlier versions. This update improves performance efficiency by 30%, increases connectivity speeds threefold, and cuts power usage by 20%.
Right now, developers can test the HarmonyOS Next beta. If you are in China, you can join the beta program to try out this new operating system on your Huawei smartphone.
