Get ready for the Pixel 9 launch! With the big day just around the corner, exciting details about the upcoming phones are surfacing daily.

Just like iPhones, Pixel phones often get exclusive features initially, which later roll out to older models. Leaked information suggests the Pixel 9 will be no different, bringing cool new features like Pixel Screenshots (a potential competitor to Microsoft Recall) and a free year of Gemini Advanced.

On top of that, Google is giving the Pixel 9 a visual refresh with redesigned system apps. Leaked images from Android Authority showcase a brand new Google Weather app boasting a sleek, minimalist design. The app features a beautiful gradient background, bold temperature displays, and clear weather icons. While it comes pre-loaded on Pixel 9 phones, the good news is, it’s expected to be available for existing Pixels soon!

Below the main weather display, you’ll find redesigned cards for hourly and 10-day forecasts. For even more information, the app includes Android widget-style cards that provide in-depth details about current conditions, including wind speed, sunrise and sunset times, UV index, air quality, humidity, and more.

Want to try the new Google Weather app early? While it will be pre-installed on the Pixel 9, you can install an early version on your Android device now. Just be aware that this is a beta version and might contain bugs.
