The Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1080P is one of the most used security devices in the world for home monitoring. With a beautiful and stylish design, it can be used on a piece of furniture in the house, fixed on the ceiling, or the wall.
At just 239g, its connectivity is via a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and recording in full HD 1080p. Files can be stored on a micro SD card with support for 16 and 64GB. It supports Android 4.4 or higher and iOS 9.0 or higher devices.
First steps:
- On your cell phone, go to the Play Store store and search for the “ Mi Home ” application.
- Then download it and wait to complete the installation on your mobile device.
After completing these steps above, now follow the instructions below to configure your Xiaomi camera.
Steps to configure Mi Home Security Camera 360°
1 – After installing the Mi Home app, log in using your Mi account or create one if applicable.
Set the region to India (recommended). You will be taken to a screen to add a new device. Tap ” + Add device ”
2 – Wait until the Mi Home Security Camera 360° icon appears on the next page. Once it appears, tap it to proceed with the installation.
Note: Make sure your smartphone and camera are connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network .
3 – Using Mi Home Security Camera 360°, scan the QR code that appeared on your phone screen.
After scanning the code you will hear a notification sound will be emitted by the camera. Then tap “ Ear scanned successfully ”.
4 – On the next screen, you can rename the Mi Home Security Camera 360° with a name of your choice, select the location of the device and even place a shortcut on the mobile home screen.
5 – Once the installation is complete, click on “ Accept ” to agree with the user agreement and the privacy policy.
6 – Everything is set up! You have completed the installation of the Mi Home Security Camera 360° and you will find the viewfinder and be able to watch the live monitoring.
Mi Home Security Camera 360° Basic Settings and Options

video recording mode
Tap “ Camera Mode ” when in live image mode. Remember that the video recording can be stopped or started again according to your need.
Photo album
To view the gallery with your photos and videos saved by Mi Home Security Camera 360°, tap the menu option located at the bottom of the screen.
Change video quality
Change the video capture quality if you want to save memory space on your device’s SD card. To do this, tap the HD icon on the home screen and switch to “ automatic ” or “ low quality ” mode .
home monitoring
By activating the home monitoring option, the camera will automatically record when it detects any movement. To activate this feature, tap the three dots in the right corner of the screen.
After activating “ Home Monitoring ”, you will have more options such as monitoring time, sensitivity, alarm intervals, and detection of push notifications.

save a video
To save a video already recorded, go to the photo album, choose a video, and at the bottom, tap the option “ Save permanently ”. If you like, you can also delete any video on this screen.
