Galaxy S21 gets One UI 4.1.1

Samsung just released Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 for the Galaxy S22 series. Now, the Galaxy S21 series has new feature-packed software. Upgrade your Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, S21 Ultra, or S21 FE to One UI 4.1.1. The new software is currently available for Verizon users; a wider rollout should follow soon.

Galaxy S21 FE firmware is G990USQU3CVH8. Some users have already received One UI 4.1.1 on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Here’s a thread by a Reddit user who did. The August 2022 security patch launches Samsung’s new software.

Upgrade adds Private Share and Smart View. The new feature renames Private Shared files. Galaxy S21 update improves Smart View. Smart View’s Multi View now shows options. You can also expect systemwide improvements.

Samsung’s One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 is in testing for the Galaxy S21 series. Galaxy S21 users can join the software beta program.

One UI 4.1.1 rolls out in batches if you’re not in a hurry. Some users will get the update early while others may wait. Go to Settings > Software Update to check for updates. If there’s no update, try again in a few days. Manually installing the firmware update is only recommended for users familiar with flashing.

Before updating, back up your phone and charge it to at least 50%.
