If you use your account Facebook regularly, you probably have a lot of pictures on your profile. Some photos that you certainly don’t want to miss, so being able to store them in a cloud, like Google Photos, is something of interest to many.
There are some methods for this, but somewhat complicated. That is why the social network announced last year that would facilitate this process with a function that has already arrived in Europe.
With a single click, we can send our Facebook photos to Google Photos, to securely store them in the cloud. This new function is intended for all users globally. In recent months, it has been made available to a limited extent in some countries but now everyone can use it, as announced by the social network itself.
How to copy your Facebook photos to Google Photos
The new feature is available in the desktop version of the social network and in the web version on the smartphone. Although we can also start this process in the Android application, you can choose the most comfortable option for you.
If they choose the application, they will be taken to the browser where the next steps will be performed. The steps are simple and allow you to copy all photos and videos to your Google Photos account.
These are the steps to follow to copy your Facebook photos to Google Photos:
- Open Facebook (in the desktop version, in the application, or in the smartphone version).
- Go to the settings.
- Enter the information section on Facebook.
- Click Download a copy of your photos or videos.
- Enter the password for the social network.
- Select the destination (choose Google Photos).
- Sign in to your Google account.
- Click Confirm.
- Wait for the process to complete
Depending on the number of photos we have in the account on the social network, this process will take a while. It is not particularly fast, it takes a little patience. In the Activity section, you will be able to see that the transfer is in progress and will remain for some time.
A tool that was expected in advance and with which we can finally have all our photos safely, transferring them to the Google Photos account is an especially comfortable option, so you never lose them, even if you close your Facebook account.
