The Xiaomi Mi 12 will also have an LTPO screen like the next iPhone

After having known the latest high-end from Xiaomi, the Mi 11 as well as all its older and smaller brothers, the machinery of the Chinese manufacturer gets down to work to try to continue surprising us with the next Xiaomi Mi 12. If nothing changes, in late 2021 or early 2022 it will be time to meet that terminal that has already set its sights on the iPhone 13.

Although the next Apple flagship has not yet been respected, many details have already been leaked and the one that can change the mobile landscape the most is the integration of an Amoled LTPO panel. A technology that completely changes devices due to its close relationship with various aspects, something that Xiaomi will not lose sight of to also bring to their mobiles.

LTPO displays extend into the high-end

Now that the mid-range also offers AMOLED panels, the higher-level ones have to differentiate themselves in some way, and what better way to do it than by achieving an optimization that will significantly affect the battery. The LTPO technology that Apple prepares for its iPhone 13 will achieve a minimum refresh rate, which becomes, among other things, a remarkable battery saving. Xiaomi knows how important a good autonomy can be for the user and following the steps of other times in terms of looking at itself reflected in the iPhone, it is already thinking of using the panels based on low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO).

From one of the Xiaomi experts in China and through MyDrivers we have echoed the news, where they assure that we will see LTPO in the Xiaomi Mi 12 and possibly also in the Mi 12 Pro, a screen that achieves vary the refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. These panels to date have been successfully developed by Samsung and LG as main brands, which will also be a key part of achieving the expected results.

The Xiaomi Mi 12 wants to surprise

With the arrival of MIUI 12.5, we have already seen an important change in the company, which cares much more about users, and among the news, we have been able to observe improvements in performance and above all in autonomy that surpasses other opponents. If we add that to the Low consumption Amoled LTPO panels of the Xiaomi Mi 12, we will be facing a smartphone that can boast of battery as nobody has done so far.

This becomes very useful to be able to take advantage of the Amoled screen of the terminals with the Always On Display mode since at that moment the panel could lower the risk rate to a minimum and consume practically nothing. Beyond continuing to add options to the software, the manufacturer Xiaomi seems to have focused on what users ask for and who knows what other surprises the Mi 12 will await us or if it will continue to keep an eye on what Apple does to take it to Android.
