The new Legendary Pokémon that you can catch in Pokémon GO are Dialga and Palkia in Origin Form
In Pokémon GO, Legendary Pokémon are exceptionally powerful and often introduced as event characters. When they appear, you’ll want to seize the opportunity to catch them.
The latest Pokémon making their debut in the ongoing Pokémon GO event are Dialga Origin Form and Palkia Origin Form. These spatial-temporal anomalies have caught the attention of trainers everywhere.
As enhanced variants of the Legendary Pokémon, Dialga Origin Form and Palkia Origin Form are available for capture during the “Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh!” event. Alongside these Pokémon, a new in-game phenomenon known as “Adventure Effects” has emerged.
Adventure Effects are temporary bonuses that enhance your Pokémon GO experience. Not only do they add excitement to your gaming adventure, but they also unlock extremely powerful attacks that can be utilized outside of combat.
Dialga and Palikia will have special “Adventure Effects”
As highlighted, the introduction of these Legendary Pokémon comes with a spawn of new bonuses and special effects. Both Dialga Origin Form and Palkia Origin Form come with their unique Adventure Effects.
If you encounter and defeat a Dialga in Origin Form, you might catch a Dialga with the learned ability called ‘Distortion.’ You can trigger this effect by spending 5,000 Stardust and 5 Dialga Candies. This distorts space for 6 minutes, freezing the timer of certain objects. This effect can be initiated every two hours, and its impact can be compounded up to a 24-hour duration.
On the other hand, should you face off and overpower a Palkia in Origin Form, it gives you the chance to snag a Palkia with the ‘Void Slash’ attack. Activating this effect requires an expenditure of 5,000 Stardust and 5 Palkia Candies, distorting space for around 10 minutes.
While this effect is active, you’ll encounter more wild Pokémon at a greater distance. Similar to the Dialga effect, the duration of ‘Void Slash’ can also be extended up to 24 hours.
