Sony added two new models to its Walkman line of MP3 and video players, the Walkman E580 Digital Noise Canceling and E380 Walkman. Both models promise a rich and detailed sound with powerful bass and crystal–clear highs, and increased battery life can reach 77 hours of music playback on the case of the E580.

The E380 uses Clear Bass technologies for bass without distortion, Clear Stereo keeping the left and right stereo channels separated. Dynamic function reduces Normaliser jumps in volume between songs, and also includes a 5-band equalizer.
