Samsung has announced the release of a firmware update for the Galaxy J7 Nxt and J7 Pro smartphones introduced more than two years ago. The new firmware version is based on the Android 9 Pie operating system and became available in Russia a week ago, though only for Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro smartphones. Now the update has begun to spread in the rest of the world and is also available for Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt models.
The size of the update is about 1 GB, so before installing it is recommended to check the availability of free space on the drive, as well as have a stable Wi-Fi connection.
Android 9 Pie users of these devices will receive in the proprietary shell One UI. In addition to the features inherent in Android Pie, the update includes Android security patches for the month of May, Live Focus for the camera, allowing you to control the degree of background blur in real time, support for HEIF images, night mode for the entire menu, the ability to respond to a message from the notification panel and other improvements.
In addition, the firmware contains features for adaptive screen brightness and battery saving, new system sounds, as well as optimizations and corrections for previously found errors.
