If you are connecting the headphones for the first time, it will enter pairing mode automatically after powering on. If not, press and hold (at the same time) the Vol+ and VOL- buttons for about 5s or until the light starts to flash.

  1. After placing the headphones in pairing mode, access Bluetooth from your cell phone and activate it if it is turned off.
  2. Wait for the handset to be found in the “Nearby or Available Devices” section.

Pairing with Windows PC/Notebook

1. With the headphones in pairing mode, click on the “Start” menu > “Settings” > “Devices”.

Troubleshooting:

There are several reasons why the headphones have problems connecting to a Bluetooth device. Some other devices may be causing a conflict or the Bluetooth driver installed on the computer or laptop is not compatible. Below are some tips for trying to resolve these issues.

On the cellphone:

  • First, press and hold the Volume Plus (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons at the same time for about 5 seconds.
  • The light will flash blue intermittently. Wait a few seconds and then turn off the headphones.

  • Right-click on the Bluetooth icon on the taskbar and select “Show Devices”.
  • Select the device and click Remove Device.
  • Then try pairing again and check if it worked.

If the problem still persists, you can also try updating the Bluetooth drivers in Windows.

  • Press Windows key + R.
  • Type “devmgmt. msc” (without quotes) and press Enter.
  • Look for “Network Adapters” and select “Bluetooth Device”.
  • Right-click on “Update Driver”.

However, the default drivers provided by the Microsoft/Windows system are not correct and will result in error messages (such as a PIN code request) or prevent the pairing from working. JBL recommends downloading drivers directly from the computer or notebook manufacturer’s website.
