OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 2

The last major update for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T is still to come, which will be Android 12. At the moment, the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series can use the open beta version of OxygenOS 12, which is based on Android 12. And OnePlus put out the second open beta of OxygenOS 12 for the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7T Pro today.

The first week of July was when the first open beta of OxygenOS 12 for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T came out. And finally, after more than a month, the second open beta is here. This means that Android 12 will be stable on the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series within a month.

Get OOS 12 Open Beta 2 for the OnePlus 7.

If you have a OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, or OnePlus 7T Pro and want to install OOS 12 open beta to try out Android 12 features, make sure your phone is updated to OxygenOS 11 version 11.0.9.1. Users who are already using Open Beta 1 can wait for the update to come over the air.

You can use the Open Beta 2 package file if you want to switch to Open Beta or update right away from Open Beta 1.

OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 2 Package

Move the downloaded package to your phone’s internal storage to install OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 2. Now, go to Settings > System > System Update > Top right button > Local install. Choose the Open Beta 2 package and then wait for it to be installed. Just restart your phone and have fun.

Before you upgrade, don’t forget to make a backup of your phone and charge it to at least 50%. You can use the rollback package files listed below if you want to go back to Android 11.
