LG Phones that will receive Android 10

LG has finally given indications on its future plans regarding the update to Android 10 for its devices. The company had previously started distributing the update haphazardly in the United States and South Korea, without letting any details leak about European markets. Finally, in recent weeks the Seoul company has specified the devices that will receive the Android 10 update, complete with release dates.

The update will arrive on several phones, including LG V40, V50, G8X, G8S, G7, K50S, K40S, K50, and Q60. However, as explained by the company itself, the update will not arrive simultaneously on all these products.

As specified in the post appeared on the blog of LG Italy, the first smartphone to get the new update to Android 10 – scheduled for early February – will be LG V50 ThinQ, or the first LG mobile device with 5G connectivity and equipped with a Dual Screen accessory.

Subsequently, in the second quarter of 2020, it will be the turn of the G8X ThinQ Dual Screen, the first dual display smartphone included. In the third quarter of 2020, the update to Android 10 will be available on several other models including LG G7, G8S, and V40, while LG K50S, K40S, K50, and Q60 will get the tenth version of Google’s operating system in the last quarter of 2020.

Some U.S. devices are already receiving Android 10. The current version of the green robot brings with it very important news such as the dark mode, the new navigation gestures, privacy improvements, and more.

Clearly the commitment of LG in updating its devices to Android 10 is commendable, although a little late: HMD Global, for example, has updated its Nokia phones much faster than the company based in South Korea.
