Samsung Galaxy S9 and its Plus variant are expected to receive the latest version of Android within the next few weeks, at least according to information provided by the Italian division at the end of 2019.
However, for the moment, the former top of the range of the Korean company has continued to receive updates based on the Android Pie 9.0, as evidenced by the latest build released a few hours ago in France (BOUYGUES brand).
The innovations introduced by the new firmware, identifiable with the build G96 * FXXS7CTA1, are the same for both devices and only include an improvement in Android security obtained thanks to the most recent patches of January 2020
The same update also for Galaxy Note 8, the smartphone with a now two-generation stylus pen that has started to receive the security patches of January 2020 starting from Germany. In this case, the firmware bears the abbreviation N950FXXS8DSL3 and can be downloaded and installed manually using the Odin tool.
The distribution of both updates will continue over the next few weeks, also reaching our country.
