How To Update Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

This update is only for the Nexus 4, the Nexus 7 (2012) and Galaxy Nexus (yakju).

Before Gadget modder clarify that since we are NOT responsible for any damage that may occur to your device during the process. Also keep in mind that this will erase all content on your phone so it is advisable to make a backup.

1 – Before you begin, you must have installed the Android SDK and drivers for your phone on your computer.Download Android SDK

2 – Then, you must download Android 4.3 for your device and save the file. Zip Platform-tools folder of Android SDK:

3 – Then you have to connect the device to your computer. Then, turn off the phone and start in bootloader (Volume Up + Volume Down + Power ).

4 – There select Recovery mode moving with volume keys and selecting with button Power .

5 – When you see an icon with an exclamation mark, you must simultaneously press Volume Up + Power .

6 – Then select apply update from adb . From the phone or the computer’s command window type adb sideloadnext to the update name.

For example, in the case of the Nexus 7 should write the following:

  • adb sideload ab67ca07c4b2e03eca795ada10ff041b77fbb7bf.signed-nakasi-JWR66V-from-JDQ39.ab67ca07.zip

7 – Reboot your device and go! You can enjoy Android 4.3 on your Nexus 4, Nexus 7 or Galaxy Nexus !
