Spotify: how to recover an accidentally deleted playlist
Deleting a playlist on Spotify is quite simple, you just need to open it and tap in the relative menu Delete playlist to complete the easy operation. Although the same cannot be said for restoring, it is still a rather easy operation that allows you to recover deleted playlists in a few minutes, provided they have been deleted in the last 90 days.
Deleted playlists can be recovered by logging in to the Spotify website. Below we will mention the detailed steps for users who make use of both mobile and desktop devices.
Retrieve a Spotify playlist from a smartphone
The recovery of playlists on smartphones includes a standard procedure to follow directly on the Spotify website:
- Open your browser on your smartphone;
- Visit the site spotify.com and log in with your account;
- Tap the hamburger menu at the top right and select Account;
- Select now Retrieve playlists from the drop-down menu at the top;
- Here you will see all the playlists you have deleted along with the date and number of songs included;
- Select Reset to retrieve the Spotify playlist you want.
Retrieve a Spotify playlist from desktop
Many people listen to music on their PC via the Spotify desktop app. If you have accidentally deleted a playlist on your computer, you can instantly retrieve it by pressing Ctrl + Z on Windows or Cmd + Z on Mac.
If however the deletion has happened longer, follow the steps below:
- Open the application Spotify on the PC;
- Click the arrow in the upper right corner;
- Touch Account;
- Once the web page is loaded, scroll down and click on Retrieve playlists in the left sidebar;
- You will now see all the deleted playlists along with the date and number of songs included;
- Click on Reset next to the playlist to retrieve it to your Spotify account.
