Make a backup of everything on your device before moving forward. The following steps won’t hold AMS or its members liable if there’s a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or anything happens to your device and data.

  • You’ll need Android SDK Platform Tools on your PC to get started.

  • Now boot your device into Fastboot mode with the below command.

  • adb reboot bootloader
  • Then launch Fastboot Enhance and check “Ignore Unknown Partition”.

  • Then flash the payload.bin file while your device is in Fastboot Mode [Bootloader Mode].

Once done, boot your device to FastbootD Mode [click on Reboot to FastbootD in the tool].

  • Make sure “Ignore Unknown Partition” is set again, and flash the new payload.bin file in FastbootD.

  • In both Fastboot and FastbootD mode, we’ve flashed the latest OxygenOS firmware [payload.bin].

  • Once the tool is opened, click Reboot to Bootloader. You will be taken to Fastboot Mode as soon as your device boots.

  • Download ocdt_CPH2449.img and place it in the platform-tools folder [Credits: XDA Member JimmyTian].

  • To flash the OCDT, open CMD inside the platform tools folder and type in the following command.

fastboot flash ocdt ocdt_CPH2449.img
  • For booting your device to the OS, type in the following command:
fastboot reboot
  • You should set up your device but do not set any PINs, passwords, or fingerprints.

  • The next step is to enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking on your device.

  • In order to boot into the Fastboot Mode, type the following command:

adb reboot bootloader
  • Your device’s bootloader should now be locked again by running the following command:
fastboot flashing lock
  • As a final step, you can reboot your device to the OS by running the following command.
fastboot reboot
