How To Activate Dark Mode in the Google Application

Follow the instructions below to try the new dark mode of the Google application.

  • Become a Google App beta. Sign up here, (requires a google account).
  • Install/update the Google beta application.
  • Open the Google application, go to More> Settings> General > Theme> select Dark.

To exit the beta test:

  • get to the test program deactivation page.
  • If necessary, sign in to your Google Account.
  • select Exit the program.
  • When a new version of the Google app is available, update the app.
