With Google Passkey enabled on your account, you can now sign in to your Google services without having to enter passwords. The next time you need to log in, select the “Use Access Keys” option to authenticate your identity. See how to do it below:

  1. Open your browser of choice and go to the Google account page.
  2. Enter your Gmail login and password to log into your account.
  3. Look for the “Security” option in the menu on the right and click on it.
  4. In the centre panel, select “Access Keys”.
  5. Click “Use Passkeys” and follow the on-screen instructions.
  6. Make sure your device is connected to your Google account via Bluetooth.
  7. When you need to sign in to a Google service, select the “Use Access Keys” option.
  8. Authenticate your identity using your device’s fingerprint, face scan or screen lock.
  9. Wait for confirmation and that’s it! You can now access your Google services without having to enter passwords.

If you don’t have the device nearby, you can still use the password or other login methods by selecting the “Try another way” option. Keep in mind that Google Passkey is a more secure option compared to other forms of two-factor authentication as it leverages your mobile device’s security mechanisms as access keys to online services.
