In this tutorial, we will teach you how to format the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S phone to reset its setting to factory default. Follow all steps to erase data from internal storage, remove the password and install a clean copy of Android 11 MIUI 12.5.

Read carefully:

  • Check if the battery is charged. Ideally, it should have a charge greater than 40%.
  • If possible, remove the Google account first. This will prevent your device from being locked out if you forget the password or username used to log into your account.
  • Back up your files.

Attention! All data will be erased from Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S. Be aware that there will be no way to recover them after formatting, remember to back up your files. This procedure does not remove the Google account from the phone.

  1. Turn off the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S normally and wait a few seconds. Then press and hold the Volume Up button + the Power button together.
  2. Once the phone turns on and the Redmi logo appears, just release the On/Off button and keep holding the Volume Up button until you enter the “ Main Menu ” menu screen

3. From this menu, select the Wipe Data option. Use volume knob to select and power button to confirm.

4. On the next screen, select the Wipe Data option again and once again confirm by pressing the Power button.

5. On the next screen, you will have to confirm clearing all data from the phone. To do this, select the Confirm option and press the Power button to confirm. The deletion process will start, just wait for it to finish.

6. After the data is cleared, press the Power button to confirm the “ Back to Main Menu ” option.

7. Back in the main menu, select the Reboot option, and again press the Power button to confirm.

8. Finally, select the Reboot to System option and press the Power button to restart the phone. During this period, do not take any action on your phone.

Now that all data has been erased and Android 11 MIUI 12.5 has been restored, it’s time to configure the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10s. When the “ Welcome ” screen opens, select the language for your region and follow the instructions to finish the setup.

How to reset Xiaomi Redmi Note 10s?

  1. With your Xiaomi Redmi Note 10s turned on, go to the Settings screen.
  2. Look for the System tab and tap to access.
  3. Now select the tab named “ Advanced ” and then tap Reset Options.
  4. Then tap Erase all data (factory data reset) and confirm by tapping Reset phone.
  5. Tap Erase All (button below).
  6. You may be asked to confirm the password, enter it and then confirm.
  7. The phone will then restart. Just wait for the process to finish.

When it restarts and enters the welcome screen, configure it following the on-screen instructions.
