[Guide] Galaxy S23 Ultra – TWRP Recovery & Root

Galaxy S23 Ultra - TWRP Recovery & Root

Throughout this article, we will provide instructions for installing the TWRP Recovery on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Although it isn’t discussed enough, Samsung’s flagship phones are among the most active players in the custom Rom development field. There is no better way to demonstrate the validity of this statement than to delve into the custom recovery domain. In case the reader is not aware, from Android 12 onwards, it has become quite challenging to develop or port a custom recovery.

Yet here we are, just days after the launch of the S23 series and its Ultra variant, already boasting a functioning custom recovery! Whether you want to flash custom binaries, take a backup of a device partition, or even gain administrative access through Magisk, all of these functions are available at the tap of a button. Therefore, without further delay, let’s discuss the steps required to install TWRP Recovery on Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Once you have installed the TWRP Recovery, you can then install a variety of mods and ZIP files on your device. Moreover, through the Nandroid Backup feature, you can also back up all the partitions on your device. You would now be able to access the system partition of your device after rooting your device using Magisk. Consequently, you will have access to a wide range of mods, including such modules as Magisk Modules, Viper4Android, Xposed Framework, and Substratum Themes, among others.

It is important to note, however, that these tweaks come with a few risks as well. To begin with, a bootloader that has been unlocked is required. In addition to wiping out all the data, this could also nullify the warranty. Furthermore, Knox will also be tripped, which will result in the inability to utilize banking apps. Furthermore, Netflix WideVine L1 will be degraded to L3, resulting in a possible incompatibility with Full HD resolution. Let’s move forward with the process of installing TWRP Recovery on Galaxy S23 Ultra if all this is well and good.
