A 50MP main sensor (Samsung S5KGN3 1/1.57′′ sensor), the same sensor on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S23, is featured in Samsung’s new FE-series phone. Samsung’s camera app is the same as on many recent Samsung phones, with a 12MP ultra-wide and 8MP telephoto lens. The rest of the sensors on the new phone are 12MP ultra-wide-angle.

Samsung’s Galaxy S23 FE comes in two variants; the US model features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, whereas, elsewhere, it is equipped with the Exynos 2200 chipset. Both variants have been ported with the GCam, but their feature sets and interfaces may differ. Download the Google Camera app on the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE and you can use all its major features, including Astrophotography, Night Sight, Portrait, HDR, Video Recording, etc. Here’s how to download and install it.

GCam is a camera application that is used on a varied range of smartphones, such as Galaxy S23 Fan Edition. It is the same application that is used on Galaxy S23 FE and it can be installed quite easily. Here are the working GCam ports for Galaxy S23 FE as well.

It is important to make sure that you apply some additional settings for best performance. Also, make sure that you delete any older versions of GCam that may be installed if you have them installed. Now, let me show you how to apply the settings.

Recommended Settings

  • As soon as you open the app, you will need to grant the permissions, once you have done so, you will need to tap the gear icon to open the settings account of the app.

  • Here is the file that you can download. Copy the file and paste it in the location listed below: /Download/MGC.8.1.101_Configs/ (folder).

  • Once you have loaded the file, you can now go back to the GCam app, tap on the black space that you see around the shutter button, or you can also go to Settings > Configs, and load the file that you have stored in the above-mentioned folder.

  • To enable HDR+ enhanced and Google AWB, open the app once you have completed the above steps, and swipe down on the home screen of the app.

  • Then go back to Settings and tap the Advanced option from the General Settings menu.

    • Turn on Video Stabilization (OIS) by scrolling down a bit and clicking on the button

    • In addition, if you wish, you can also record videos in 4K 60fps and 8K.

  1. Navigate to the downloads folder in the My Files app by opening the app.

  2. You will need to tap on the downloaded GCam app to install it. Don’t open the app yet!

  3. You will now be able to find the Google Camera icon in the app drawer once you have installed it.

  4. Take a video with the GCam app by tapping and holding the icon, then selecting the Take a Video option from the menu.

  5. The next step is to double-tap on the black area around the shutter button.
