EMUI 9.1 Upgrade Available For Huawei Honor Phones in Russia

Huawei announced the launch of the EMUI 9.1 shell in Russia based on the Android 9 Pie operating system for Honor 8, 9, 10 and other smartphones in Russia. 


The manufacturer notes that the update will be distributed from June to October this year for smartphones released after 2017.

The list of smartphones whose owners are waiting for the update includes:

Honor 7X, Honor 8X, Honor 8 Pro, Honor 9, Honor 9 Lite, Honor 10, Honor 10 Lite, Honor View 10, Honor View 20 and Honor Play.

EMUI 9.1, in addition to various optimizations and improvements, will bring several new features and fixes for previously found bugs. In particular, in this version of the firmware, the user interface has been significantly reworked, the wallpapers, icons, themes have changed. 

The interface itself has become easier, more intuitive and dynamic.

As a result of system optimization, its performance increased by 24%, responsiveness by 44%, smoothness of third-party applications increased by 57%, and their launch speed increased by 60%. 

Thanks to the use of the new EROFS file system, the reading speed increased by 20%.

Other innovations include the creation of smart videos, with the selection of length and effects, support for data transfer technology between Huawei Share OneHop devices, as well as features that allow you to use your smartphone as a key for a car, and work with augmented reality.
