Good news for all users in possession of a device already updated to MIUI 11 Global Stable: in fact, a few hours ago, Xiaomi has released an update of the system launcher (in alpha version) that introduces support for the app drawer.
The new model that uses the app drawer can be activated at the user’s discretion within the launcher settings. To be able to access the installed apps, simply swipe upwards. Below is the installation guide.
Owning a device with MIUI Global Stable ( ATTENTION: our tests have been carried out with a Redmi Note 8T updated to the most recent build based on MIUI 11. It is possible, however, that other devices may run into crashes or general incompatibilities)
- Download version 4.16.0.1457.01131743 of the MIUI System Launcher Alpha – download just below
- Install the app and authorize – if you haven’t already done so – installation from unknown sources
- Go to the Settings of the launcher
- Activate the appropriate option “With app drawer”
Once everything is activated, users will also be able to manage some aesthetic aspects of the launcher such as the opacity of the background, the categories displayed at the top of the UI, the type of sorting of the applications, and more. Below is the download link.
