Don’t Get Instagram Reels, How Do I Activate Them?

Instagram Reels

Everyone talks about the new Instagram Reels in their timeline, their stories, even their DMs! Everywhere! But you can’t find them in your application, could it be that Instagram forgot about you? Unless you have a very old cell phone, we doubt it.

It may actually be due to a small error, or directly that you have forgotten to update the application. Be that as it may, if the Instagram Reels do not come out, we will teach you how to activate them.

So you can force the activation of the Instagram Reels if they don’t come out

When a big update of your favorite app is released, everyone wants to have it immediately, especially if we talk about social networks. If for some reason you still don’t have the Reels and you don’t want to keep waiting, then check this to activate it on your mobile right now:

Update Instagram from the Play Store to get the Reels in your account

Generally, this type of problem with new features occurs because we forget to update the app, and doing so is enough. This tends to happen because you don’t have automatic updates active, because you’ve been using your data plan lately, or because you just missed it.

Whatever your case, check-in the Android store that there is no pending update, and if there is, then download it and that’s it.

Force stop Instagram on your mobile to try to load everything again

Sometimes the applications do not load well or do it half, and that does not happen only to Instagram. This could also be the problem that you don’t see the reels, but it’s easy to check and have the app load everything again. If you know that you have the latest version of Instagram installed but the Reels do not appear, you can try this:

  1. Go to the Settings menu on your mobile.
  2. Go to the Applications section.
  3. Open the application manager.
  4. Find Instagram in the list of installed apps and select it.
  5. Press force stop and confirm the action.
  6. Go to Instagram to check if you already have the Reels active.

Clear the Instagram cache to try to load the Reels, or even the data if necessary

It happens just as in the previous point, Instagram may not be loading well or so. However, there are a bit more drastic ways to reset an app, and they go through erasing the app’s temporary data.

  1. Open the Settings menu on your mobile.
  2. Go to the Applications section and there open the administrator.
  3. Search Instagram and select it.
  4. Press “Clear data” and there “Clear cache”.
  5. Once deleted, go to Instagram to verify.

If clearing the cache is not enough, you can also erase all the application data. This does a more thorough cleaning, although you will have to log into your account again later.

Uninstall Instagram and reinstall it to force the activation of the Reels

Another common problem is that the update to the Instagram app could have been applied incorrectly. This is not something exclusive to this platform, and it can happen to any app on Android, but what do you have to do?

  1. Uninstall Instagram from your mobile as you do with any other application.
  2. Go to the Play Store and download Instagram one more time so that it tries to install properly.
  3. Check if the Instagram Reels are active.

A variant of this method is that you install the latest version of Instagram from an APK file and not from the Google store. To do this, just download the APK of the latest Instagram beta from APKMirror or any other safe alternative to Google Play.

With these four methods, you should be able to see the Instagram Reels in your app yes or yes. However, remember that this function is not available for very old mobiles, as it happens with other Instagram functions.

Even so, if you don’t want to give up, you can try updating your mobile ROM, freeing up storage space, restarting it, or even asking for Instagram support.

The idea is to have Instagram Reels whatever, right? If you know any additional method, you can gladly leave it in the comment box for us to add.

If you don’t see the Instagram Reels, it’s because you have an unsupported mobile
