This guide aims to assist you in locating all the shadow cats within LIGHT: Black Cat & Amnesia Girl. The game hosts 10 concealed shadow cats for discovery. In case any get overlooked during gameplay, you can rest assured as the game allows chapter replay for a second chance at finding them. For added convenience, I’ve indicated which chapters each collectable can be found.
Shadow Cat #1
You can find Shadow Cat #1 in Chapter 1. Look on the shelf beside the door in a bedroom at your aunt’s house and use some nearby bookshelves to reach it.
Shadow Cat #2
Once you’re out of the dumbwaiter at the beginning of Chapter 1, turn to your right and look down beneath the table, where you’ll see Shadow Cat #2.
Shadow Cat #3
To get Shadow Cat, you must shut the door on a man who chases you through a hallway. Once he is gone and no one else is in sight, go to the back of the large room where there is an empty desk—on it will be another shadow cat!
Shadow Cat #4
In Chapter 2, when you’re in the room with a revolving door powered by a lever, go through the crack in the wall to find Shadow Cat #4. It’s sitting on your right—next to a statue.
Shadow Cat #5
To trigger the start of the wolf boss fight in Chapter 2, go to the left side of the arena and enter a crack in its wall. In the back-right corner is Shadow Cat #5.
Shadow Cat #6
You can find Shadow Cat #6 in Chapter 3. In the room with the timer bridge puzzles, flip the orange lever and cross over to reach a hidden path. Turn left at this secret exit to meet up with your feline friend!

Shadow Cat #7
In Chapter 3, after you break through the cobwebs and enter a room with a large elevator, look at the ground to your right. There is an item called Shadow Cat #7 that you can jump down to pick up.
Shadow Cat #8
In Chapter 4, Shadow Cat #8 can be found by entering the labyrinth with the wolf. Wait until it is looking away and then descend to the stairs.
Then, flip the lever. While the wolf is occupied—otherwise, it will eat you—run around the corner and to the next lever. Then, go back down that hallway and make a right turn.
Move to the room where you flipped a lever earlier, then run back through the area with no wall. The wolf will emerge and chase you; quickly return to the other side of this section—where you passed by yet another lever that has not been triggered yet—and flip it now.
Go through the door on your left and run down the hallway until you find Shadow Cat #8.
Shadow Cat #9
In Chapter 4, you will be spat out into a room after crawling through the cave and avoiding spider legs. Quickly dash to the platform, blast the spider with your light and collect Shadow Cat #9 when it is dead—this one can be found hiding under a table near where you entered this area.
Shadow Cat #10
In Chapter 4, you’ll find the final Shadow Cat #10 in a room with energy source podiums that allow it to be freed from its capsule.
Move through different platforms to disconnect the large chains and reach the last platform. When you complete this task, the cat is sitting on a small island to your left.
