Requirements: Make sure you possess an active Xiaomi account for a minimum of 30 days. If you don’t have one and plan to create a new account, please be aware that a 30-day waiting period is necessary before moving forward.

To start, install Xiaomi Community version 5.3.31 or a newer release. If you can’t find it, download the APK from the link provided. Once done, go to the “Me” section in the app, then head to Settings > Change region, and switch your region to Global.

After adjusting this setting, reopen the app, go back to the “Me” section, and choose “Unlock bootloader.” Please be patient, as it might take a moment for this option to appear. If it doesn’t show up immediately, close the app briefly; it should pop up shortly after.

  • Next, navigate to Settings > About Phone > Tap on “OS Version” 8-10 times to enable Developer Options.
  • Next, go to Settings > Additional Settings > Developer Options, choose Mi Unlock status, and link your account.
  • Once you get a confirmation message saying “Successfully added,” you can unlock your device with the Mi Unlock application on your computer after waiting 72 hours or 3 days.
