Apple released the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models last month with big changes in almost every department. One of the standout new features of these two models is the ability to capture 48MP stills. And because of that, the new flagship camera represents a huge leap in iPhone photography power.
While the overall design look is more or less the same as last year, the camera has been updated with a 48MP sensor on the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models. But it’s worth remembering that photos taken at 48MP resolution will take up a significant amount of space when compared to photos at 12MP resolution. So this will make your phone storage run down faster. The recommendation is, to take photos with 48MP resolution when you want to capture deep, rich, and detailed photos and switch to 12MP when it is not convenient. If you still don’t know how to make this configuration, just follow the steps below:
Important! The steps below will only work on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, which are currently the two models equipped with a 48MP main camera.
How to Enable 48MP Camera on iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max?
Step 1: Go to the “Settings” app of your iPhone 14 Pro, scroll down, and tap on “Camera”.
Step 2: Then tap on “Formats” located at the top of the screen.
Step 3: Tap the “Apple ProRAW” side button to enable it.
Step 4: After enabling the ProRAW feature, tap on “ProRAW Resolution”.
Step 5: On the next screen, select the 48MP option.
Step 6: With the previous change made, you can now see that 48MP resolution is already selected as the main one.
Step 7: Now that you’ve got everything set up correctly, you’ll need to enable ProRAW in the Camera app itself. Open the Camera app and tap “RAW” in the upper-right corner of the screen.
That’s all you need to do to change ProRAW resolution from 12MP to 48MP on your iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.
