Xiaomi has released a new update for its very special Mi Mix 2S, one of its most popular top of the range from the beginning of 2018, due to its very original design.
The update is based on the MIUI 11 proprietary interface and the real news concerns the base used: it is nothing less than the latest release of the Google operating system, Android 10. The MIUI 11 was already available with Android 9 Pie, so most of the aesthetic and functional innovations are already present on the firmware currently available for all users. The distribution of Android 10 in a stable version starts from China, but it will likely be released very soon also for all devices equipped with Global ROM.
We point out that the first sightings suggest that the OTA weighs 2.1GB and, together with the new version of Android, brings with it several corrections and improvements. Specifically, we find.
- Fixed an issue with image overlap in long screenshots
- Fixed an issue with incomplete display of content in floating pop-up windows when open while playing games
- Fixed an issue related to applying incorrect network rules after a SIM change
- Eliminated stutters while searching for the Network Assistant application
- Fixed incorrect display of the white list in the Network Assistant
- Fixed an issue that prevented access to notification settings by pressing a link in the notification bar
These and other fixes may also be present in the Global firmware: now we just have to wait for its release.
