The Samsung Galaxy Gio S5660 has a 3.2 inch display, and a simple, friendly design. There’s a large physical Home button on the front, flanked by the Menu and Back keys. A metallic-looking frame wraps around the edges, while a dot-patterned cover made out of soft plastic can be found on the back. The left side of the phone hosts the volume rocker and a lanyard slot (take off the back cover to use it). On the right side you have the lock key, and a MicroSD card slot – this means the cards are hot-swappable, hence you can remove / change them without having to turn the device off. Cards up to 32GB are supported. There’s a 3.5mm headset jack at the top of the phone, and a MicroUSB port at the bottom.
The Gio weighs just 102 grams, and measures 110.5 x 57.5 x 12.2 mm, being a bit smaller than other 3.2 inch smartphones (like the LG Optimus P500). For us, that’s a good thing, since there’s no need for extra bulk in our pocket when the screen isn’t a large one.
